DRESS CODE

RECREATIONAL CLASSES

The Dress Code at CSPA is strongly enforced. Students are required to wear the proper dance wear and dance shoes to class. Jewelry is prohibited (small earrings are acceptable). Hair must be neatly secured and completely off the face. Students should not have to fix their hair in class.

Please follow the guidelines for our Recreational classes below:
 

Preschool Classes
Females: Pink leotard, pink transitional tights, pink canvas ballet shoes, tan maryjane velcrow strap tap shoes, hair up in a proper ballet bun. Pink tutu or skirt is acceptable. Skin tone jazz shoes will be required for spring Showcase performance.

Males Black jazz pants, black canvas ballet shoes, white t-shirt (no logos), black slip on tap shoes. Black jazz shoes will be required for spring Showcase performance.


Broadway Babes, Kinder Dance and Theatre, and Tiny Performers
Females: Black Leotard, Pink convertible tights, pink canvas ballet shoes, tan maryjane velcro tap shoes hair up in a proper ballet bun

Males: Black footed tights, black canvas ballet shoes, black oxford tap shoes (slip on),  white t-shirt

* Skin tone jazz shoes needed for theatre (females), Black jazz shoes needed for theatre (males)



Ballet
Students Identifying as Female: Black Leotard, Pink tights, pink canvas ballet shoes, hair up in a proper ballet bun

Students Identifying as Male: Black footed tights, black canvas ballet shoes, white t-shirt (tucked in), dancers belt

Students Identifying as Non-Binary: Black footed tights, black canvas ballet shoes, black or white t-shirt tucked into tights. 


Jazz/Tap
Students Identifying as Female: Black Leotard, black jazz pants or black dance shorts, skin tone jazz shoes, black oxford syle tap shoe (Ages 8-11 slip on) (Ages 12+ with ties) hair neatly secured up (off face.)

Students Identifying as Male: Black jazz pants or black dance shorts, black jazz shoes, solid colored t-shirt (form fitted with no logos), dance belt, (Ages 8-11 slip on) (Ages 12+ with ties.)

Students Identifying as Non-Binary: Black jazz pants or black dance shorts, black jazz shoes, solid colored t-shirt (form fitted with no logos), (Ages 8-11 slip on) (Ages 12+ with ties) hair neatly secured up (off face.)


Hip-Hop
All: Street Style Clothing, Sneakers. Hair neatly secured up (off face.)


Acrobatics
Students Identifying as Female: Any color leotard with transtional tights or dance shorts and bare feet. Two piece dance attire is acceptable for Acrobatics. Tights not required for acrobatics. Hair neatly secured up (off face.)

Students Identifying as Male: Solid color t-shirt or tank top with dance shorts or dance pants (not baggy), dancers belt, Bare feet. 

Students Identifying as Non Binary: Solid color t-shirt or top or leotard with dance shorts or dance pants (not baggy), Bare feet. Hair neatly secured up (off face.)


Contemporary/Lyrical
Students Identifying as Female: Solid color leotard, dance pants or dance shorts, hair neatly secured up off the face, bare feet.

Students Identifying as Male: Solid colored t-shirt, dance pants or dance shorts, dance belt, bare feet.

Students Identifying as as Non-Binary:  Solid colored t-shirt or leotard, dance pants or dance shorts, bare feet, hair neatly secured up off the face.


Musical Theatre Classes
Follow the recreational dress code for dance classes. Black and/or skin tone jazz shoes are required for all Musical Theatre students for the spring Showcase performance. Skin tone 2"  t-strap character heels may be required for some recreational students.
