The Dance Pre-Professional Program is specifically designed for the student who desires to pursue a career in dance/the performing arts industry and/or to study dance at a collegiate level. Our educational curriculum is based off a strong ballet foundation that focuses on technique and quality of movement that will be carried throughout all forms of dance.

To ensure quality education all students are placed into classes based upon both ability and age. The program accepts students ages 8-18, and holds annual open auditions. 2018 audition information is listed below. Level placement will be determined by the program Director at the Pre-Professional Dance Audition. We fully prepare all of our students with the education, skills, and motivation needed to achieve their dreams.

Many of our dancers have been signed to the industries top talent management companies and talent agencies. Dancers in our Pre-Professional Program have been awarded thousands of dollars worth of dance scholarships, regional dance titles, college scholarships, and more! The Conservatory School for the Performing Arts is affiliated with Kennedy Talent Management based out of New York who will annually offer master classes, lectures, and auditions to seek talent.
 

PRE-PROFESSIONAL DANCE CLASSES
All students must attend the placement class audition before enrolling into classes. To ensure quality education all levels are final unless otherwise directed by the studio director and/or teacher(s).
 

Level 1
• Ballet (minimum 1 hour and 30 minutes per week)
• Jazz (minimum 1 hour per week)
• Tap (minimum 1 hour per week)
• Lyrical/Contemporary (minimum 1 hour per week)
•  Hip-Hop (minimum 1 hour per week) 
• Acrobatics (minimum 1 hour per week) 
 

Level 2
• Ballet (minimum 3 hours per week)
• Jazz (minimum 1 hour per week)
• Tap (minimum 1 hour per week)
• Lyrical/Contemporary (minimum 1 hour per week)
• Acrobatics (minimum 1 hour per week)
• Modern (minimum 1 hour per week) *director approval 
• Hip-Hop (minimum 1 hour per week) 
 

Level 3
• Ballet and Pointe (minimum 4 hours per week) *director aprroval for pointe 
• Jazz (minimum 1 hour per week)
• Tap (minimum 1 hour per week)
• Lyrical/Contemporary (minimum 1 hour per week)
• Modern (minimum 1 hour per week)
• Acrobatics (minimum 1 hour per week)
• Hip-Hop (minimum 1 hour per week)

The Conservatory is holding Pre-Professional Dance Program auditions for the 2018-2019 season on Saturday, June 16, 2018 3:45pm-5:45pm. Come join The Conservatory this season!
